Ingredients :-
4 tsp Gram flour (besan)1 tsp red chilly powder
Salt to taste
Pinchof turmeric
1 tsp chaat masala
Water to make batter
6 to 7 colocasia leaves (arbi ke patte)
Oil for deep frying
Method :-
First make batter, in a mixing bowl add 4 tsp gram flour (besan),salt to taste , 1 tsp red chilly powder , pinch of turmeric and 1 tsp chaat masala mix well and add water to make thick batter.Now rinse with water the fresh colocasia leaves (arbi ke patte), Then apply besan batter over the leaves and roll it.
then steam this roll in a kadhai for 15 min on low flame.
After 15 min take out the rolls from steamer and let it cool for 5 to 7 min.
Cut this rolls or slice it into several pieces.
This steamed roll are ready to fry.
Deep fry the slices steamed pakode untill the color changes to golden brown and pakode becomes crispy.
Now these pakode are ready to serve with any chutny or sauce.
Tips -
Use fresh and small variety of colocasia leaves , larger leaves can be very itchy and even after adding any souring ingredients ,the itchiness will be felt.
Prepare thick batterUse butter milk or lemon to overcome the itchyness of leaves
